Deep Sea Lava Creatures

Based off the extraordinary Vent Shrimp that survive off the thermal energy of deep sea thermal vents, I invented three creatures for this week. A Jellyfish that's mobility is reliant on the rising heat of thermal vents propelling it upward. Crab based off Coralmorph Decorator Crabs, this one enforces it's exoskeleton with hardened lava. The Lava bug, takes advantage of the previous creatures if they fail to stay afloat or enforce their shell.

Winter Beast

We we're given the opportunity to create a comic, and then redo the pages after our class crit for the following week. The top two are the original. I ended up expanding the second page which are on the bottom. The main criticism that I got was that I wasn't leaving enough room in the panels for the viewer to be able to tell what was happening.

Red Dragon

I completed this for the RISD Dragon Book, a project set up by Leonardo De Luzio
This piece narrowly survived being erased after my Mac crashed half through its completion. This piece was strongly influenced by Wind Waker. Finished in early September of 2011.
